Disraeli Gears is the second studio album by Cream (2), from which two singles were released; Strange Brew [May 1967] and Sunshine Of Your Love [Jan 1968]. The album gained the band strong attention in the USA, where it reached #4 in the US Charts in 1968. It was inducted into the "Grammy Hall Of Fame" in 1999 and ranked 112 in "Rolling Stone" magazine's '500 Greatest Albums Of All Time' [in 2003].
"W" etched in runout denotes lacquer cut using an Audiodisc blank. Original US stereo pressing with 1961-67 purple & gold labels with gold "ATCO". SD 33-232 on front cover and back cover. 33-232 on spine and labels. Issued in an original Atco catalog inner sleeve. Upon inspection, the jacket has shelf wear. The record is in VG TO EXCELLENT condition. Side 1 has a scratch, and a click may be heard at the point of the scratch.
Cream were a British rock band formed in London in 1966. The group consisted of bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker. Bruce was the primary songwriter and vocalist, although Clapton and Baker contributed to songs. Formed by members of previously successful bands, they are widely considered the first supergroup. Cream were highly regarded for the instrumental proficiency of each of their members.
