Bernard Herrmann-American composer and conductor. Born June 29th, 1911, New York, USA. Died December 24th, 1975, Los Angeles, USA.
Recognized for his original film scores, which include those for Psycho, North By Northwest, Taxi Driver and Citizen Kane. He has remained un-credited for decades regarding the well known "Suspense" radio show theme aka "The Wailing Theme" which was originally composed by Bernard for the radio drama series that was broadcast on CBS Radio from 1942 through 1962. He sadly passed away the day that he finished the score for Taxi Driver.
