Eric Weissberg was an American singer, banjo, guitar, dobro and fiddle player, best known for the theme from the movie "Deliverance". Born August 16, 1939 in New York City. Died March 22, 2020 near Detroit, Michigan.
Stephen Arnold Mandell-Died March 14, 2018. Best known as the guitar player on the song “Dueling Banjos” from the 1972 soundtrack of the movie "Deliverance". Prior to that, Mandell was part of the NYC folk and bluegrass scene in the 1960s. In 1962 he was a member of the bluegrass band Marie & the Washington Square Ramblers.
He was also a studio musician, and appeared on recordings by Judy Collins and John Denver, among others.
