This collection features issues #4 through #8 of "Ultimate Fantastic Four," published by Marvel Comics in 2004. The series begins with writers Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Millar, and artist Adam Kubert, reimagining the origins of Marvel's First Family in the Ultimate Universe. The narrative then transitions to writer Warren Ellis and artist Stuart Immonen, who introduce the formidable adversary, Victor Van Damme, in the "Doom" storyline.
Issue Overviews:
Ultimate Fantastic Four #4 (May 2004): In "The Fantastic: Part 4," the team members—Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm—begin to explore their newfound abilities following a transformative accident. As they come to terms with their powers, they must also confront the enigmatic Mole Man, who poses an immediate threat.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #5 (June 2004): The fledgling team faces off against the Mole Man's monstrous creations beneath the city. Their unity and resolve are tested as they strive to prevent the Mole Man's plans from causing widespread destruction.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #6 (July 2004): Concluding the initial arc, the team solidifies their bond and embraces their roles as the Fantastic Four. They confront the consequences of their transformation and prepare to face future challenges together.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #7 (August 2004): The "Doom" storyline begins as the team encounters Victor Van Damme, a former associate who has undergone his own transformation. Van Damme, now known as Doom, presents a new and formidable challenge to the Fantastic Four.
Ultimate Fantastic Four #8 (September 2004): The team confronts Doom's machinations, facing both physical and moral dilemmas. As they battle against Doom's plans, they must also navigate the complexities of their evolving relationships and responsibilities.
