le is a beautiful handcrafted vintage Tanpura with a fitted hardshell case. Made in Mubmai, India distributed by the Bhargava & Co musical instrument company. This is a gorgeous example of a traditional Indian instrument used for the droning soundscape of the raga form. Although completely functional, it is a remarkable artisanal piece with handtooled bone bridge/saddle pieces, carved tuners, carved designs on the gourd body and other fanciful details that truly make it a piece of art.
