Cannot tell whether its 2 sided- in frame. Glare from plexi cover- brighter in person. Chris Ware is a cartoonist. For those who do not know of him, this very-large piece of paper is a good place to start. Densely-packed on both sides with little drawings to read, and lots of easy-to-ignore fine-print (but don't ignore it). Each side presents an awesome memoir for those familiar with the subjects, and an intrigued "What the hell is this?" reaction from those not familiar with his work, provoked by these examples of Ware's high-level graphic-linguistic emulatory skills.Side one features Jimmy Corrigan, The Smartest Kid In The World, a 380-page hardcover book published in 2000 by Pantheon (softcover in 2003). Side two features the (then) in-progress Building Stories, which was eventually published in 2012 by Pantheon as an illustrated Keepsake Box containing 14 discrete publications of varying format and size. Parts of both publications were previously serialized in issues of the Acme Novelty Library, with Building Stories also appearing in The New Yorker Magazine and The New York Times
