Anthony Women's Suffrage! There are also some historic posters including an Original Woodstock, various pieces from the Civil Rights and Anti-War movements, and several propaganda posters from the Chinese and Russian communist revolutions. The home is filled with classic mid century Danish teak furniture as well as stunning Asian pieces like the 8 panel Japanese room divider with carved stone pastoral scenes in relief. Lee is the daughter of Marjorie Chambers, a prominent educator and politician in New Mexico. Marjorie was the first woman to run for Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico, a national president of the American Association of University Women, and the president of two colleges (Colorado Women's College and Colby-Sawyer College). It's no surprise that this estate is filled with luxurious fine jewelry as well as an extensive collection of museum quality Native American jewelry and pottery including pieces from the Tafoya family. Other lovely collections included in the estate are antique quilts, collectible dolls, and coins. This is certainly a chance to own a piece of history, whether it's a 19th century quilt, or a 300 BC Alexander the Great gold coin. There are so many treasures here, we've had to divide this auction into two. They'll close on consecutive evenings with a combined pickup for your convenience. Enjoy!
