Item Description

Stella Chavarria is a daughter of noted potter Teresita Naranjo and a granddaughter of Christina Naranjo. Stella is known for her deeply carved pottery and use of classic Santa Clara imagery and shapes. She has won numerous awards for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market. She was one of the potters featured in the 1974 exhibit, “Seven Families in Pueblo Pottery”.
