We texted you 20 minutes before the end of our pickup window to remind you about it, and when you said you forgot, we offered to bring your item back to our office for a porch pickup. We even reached out via phone to make sure there wasn't any misunderstanding about where and what you were picking up. You did come by and get your item. I'm not sure what we could have done better, but I'd love to learn so we can continue to improve our customer service. Best, Danielle

Staff communication needs improvement. I signed up for a pickup time as requested, but ended up not getting my items for 30 minutes and was yelled at by two different staff members. When I arrived I loaded my small items and was told to pull around back to load a larger item. Driving down I was yelled at by a second staff member that I couldn't pull down and to wait for two cars to pull out. So I pulled out and waited until the two cars left and pulled down into a spot where one of the cars had just been parked. I was told rudely by a third staff member I couldn't park there. I told her I was told to come load and she asked me to pull up. I pulled up 20 feet and was told that I needed to pull all the way into a field and park. I did and then watched a car and truck follow me in, park where I'd just been and start loading up (they had not been there as long as I had). I waited until one was done but no one signaled for me to pull up, so I got out and asked the first staff member when I could load and she told me anytime and to park wherever I needed to. The third staff lady was standing there and didn't say anything. I was trying to follow all the directions and ended up very angry and frustrated. I've bought from this group before and had similarly chaotic pick ups but never been treated so rudely. Figure out a system, make sure all your staff knows the plan, and try treating your customers with the same patience and courtesy you ask of them.

Storey, I’m sorry you had such a bad experience. This was a very challenging load out for us. We were dealing with a long, narrow, gravel driveway that was shared with the next door neighbor, and a large house full of a lot of heavy furniture. We hired professional movers to bring all the furniture out into the yard and had a few spots furniture buyers could park to load without blocking the driveway. Things were going well and then we made a mistake. It was really slow so we allowed a buyer to block the driveway to load some heavy cabinets. Of course, that’s when four more furniture buyers arrived and I’m sorry you were one of them. We had all of your small items ready for you to load but unfortunately there was no way for you to get back to your large piece until those folks finished loading. I am truly sorry you had to wait. It’s very important to us that our buyers have a smooth pickup experience and it’s extremely rare that buyers have to wait at all. Though it may have felt likely 30 minutes, I’m positive you were not waiting that long to get access to your table after you loaded your smaller items. I am also positive that my staff did not yell at you. They are extremely kind and meek people. I, on the other hand, am from the east coast so it’s possible when I was directing you to pull forward to avoid blocking the driveway and creating another bottleneck, you thought I was yelling AT you instead of TO you from across the yard. When Diana let me know you were upset I immediately came closer to apologize for any misunderstanding and help you. I explained the mistake I made that caused your wait and that it wasn’t my intention to offend you when directing traffic. It was clear you were not willing to except my apology. I regret we weren’t able to reach a better place before you left. We’re human, we make mistakes but we try to be gracious and accountable for them.
