Steve Romm has been in art all of his life.

He began sculpting in his childhood and had his first one man show at the age of 11 at the Associated American Artist’s gallery, in New York City.

Steve taught art and photography, and in 1981 became artist agent for Harvey Edwards, one of the most famous photographic artists of the last 40 years.

During this time he also became involved in public relations, working with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Ronald McDonald House.

In 1983 he and his wife Judy started an art publishing company, and it quickly became one of the most successful and innovative art companies in the country, exporting products worldwide.

During this time Steven continued to paint, and successfully exhibited throughout the United States and Europe.

In 1992 they moved to Wainscott, and relocated their business to Bridgehampton, Long Island. The company was sold in 2004.

Steve’s paintings capture the vanishing Hampton’s vistas, open fields and spectacular skies. His canvases, unlike other landscape artist’s, are done without paints as a series of glazes and utilize a unique combination of powders, metallic pigments, and mediums all of which create a painting with great depth, and an inner glow that changes with the light, which is exact same feeling one finds in the places that are the subject of his paintings.
