Item Description

A VERY rare knife, by prominent Civil War era knife smith John Sears and Son, dated 1865 on blade, under maker's mark. It is a large example, with a unique locking system, only created during the Civil War era. Referred to as a 'Ring Pull' knife. The handle is carved stag antler. Condition is very good, especially in consideration of great age. A RARE knife!-I opened the knife and can not get it closed so the new owner will receive it opened-
