This entire set was stored in attic comes in Vintage ivory-colored chest manufactured by The Marshall-White Co in Chicago in 1940 and is in great used condition. The unusual silver flatware storage chest, with rounded corners, is made of bakelite/plaskon and molded in a classical urn motif called "Cameo". It is sturdy and heavy and weighs 7 pounds. It is lined with a dark brown Pacific silver cloth to prevent tarnish and has no tears or holes. It measures 18" long x 12 1/4" wide x 4" deep. It was meant to hold service for 12 (150pieces). Inside this chest is a very old flatware set which is a gilt silver-I don't know who the manufacturer was only marking on each piece has impressed silver mark as seen-There is substantial gilt loss-and the box has some small round marks of staining-the interior cloth smells old-The set has tarnishing-it's a very beautiful set highly detailed and looks important-The box and silver weigh 21 pounds-theirs at least a 12 piece setting inside plus 20-30 more pieces-
