ANTIQUE 19c ITALIAN PORCELAIN CROWN NAPLES CAPODIMONTE FOOTED HINGED BOX

An impressive Italian Crown Naples Capodimonte porcelain hinged box and cover.The box is shaped rectangular with arched ends. The box depicts a Neoclassical scene with moulded and polychrome finished figures in draped togas within a landscape with crane bird and circular yellow cloud like motif to trim.The gilt finished metallic mounting with decorative motif and slim handle to open.The front of the box with a panel depicting cherubs or putti within a naturalistic landscape with circular yellow cloud like forms. The ends with gilt finished reserve with polychromatic floral bouquet on white ground within the reserve on yellow ground.The interior of the box features polychromatic floral motifs throughout.Marked underfoot.Ca. 19th century.Condition: There is some wear to the painted finish and wear to the finish of the metallic mounts but overall the box is in good form and presents well.3 3/4"H x 6 5/8"L x 4 3/4"D
