Item Description

The 2012 ARRC annual print is titled “Seward Solidarity” by Wasilla artist Taffina Katkus. The original oil painting depicts a collage of scenes from the railroad’s southern terminus, in the harbor town of Seward. This is the first Alaska Railroad annual art print to feature Seward. Katkus, a Wasilla resident and former member of the Wasilla City Council, also drew the commemorative railroad print in 2009. Several Prints were made and signed by Katkus.
