“XEO” by Sam Tchakalian (American, 1929-2004) signed artist’s proof lithograph in a matted white frame. Dated 1979. “AP” in lower left; Signature and date in pencil in lower right.

About the artist in brief:
“ Tchakalian was one of the last links to the San Francisco School of abstract expressionism before his death in 2004 and was one of the finest painters in California at that time. He exhibited continuously in the United States and abroad since the late 1950s and taught painting for many years at the San Francisco Art Institute.”
