Mary Beth Zeitz was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She studied at the University of Delaware from where she obtained a bachelors degree in French. She loved art from a young age and was greatly influenced by the many professional artists of her time. Mary has done more contemporary watercolor pieces but the strong colors remain an identifying feature in her work. Her love for nature can be seen in all her collections. Her art is internationally licensed and appears on many decorative items. Mary’s delicate details in watercolor reveal her love for the art of painting - she most often works with dark jewel-toned watercolors, highly detailed subjects, and antique-style textures. All her pieces of art have balanced composition and exciting balance of color and light. Her work has been inspired by many renowned artists but she also seeks inspiration from reading a lot and from her travels. Framed Mary Beth Zeitz art have found their way into several galleries and can be found in the hands of many private and corporate collectors. Much of Mary’s knowledge and technique is a result of her many years of self-training, though she has also attended many art exhibitions, museums and galleries to observe what other artists are doing. Mary Beth Zeitz is a published Artist for 20 years. She studied art at the Université de Montpellier France and travelled extensively throughout Europe, which had a profound effect on her artistically. Currently living in Sierra Vista, AZ, , Mary Beth was one of the original 24 artists chosen by The United States Mint as a coin and medal Master Designer in their first ever national search in 2004. This opportunity finds her designing coins and medals specifically requested by the U.S. Mint, including the State Quarter Program. Mary Beth has exhibited her work in several fine art shows and has received numerous awards in the Delaware Valley, including The Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Annual in Philadelphia, and The Brandywine Arts Festival in Wilmington. Her art is also internationally licensed. Her prints have also been seen on movie sets and television shows nation-wide, as well as in stores and catalogs internationally. Her delicate details in watercolor and acrylic reveal her love for both the floral subjects, and the art of painting.
