Gianni Mana was born in Fossano (Cn), he was born into a family of artists (his father a painter and also a brother), in his youth he was attracted by a passion for cycling, competing in important competitions in Italy and abroad. He has carried out studies and research on various artists and on the color of the Impressionists; he perfected himself in the shooting from life of landscapes both in Italy and in France (especially in Normandy).

In his paintings Mana fixes the visual impressions and those of the feelings that emerge in his sensitivity in contact with reality: love and admiration, above all, for his land and the environment from which he has absorbed the moods and traditions … paintings often depict the Langhe, taken from life in the various seasonal chromatic fabric: in the festive orchestration of colors of spring, in the expansive splendor of summer, in the golden embrace of autumnal light, in the crystalline glitter of snow in winter. The artist from Fossano combines these works with other works in which he takes scenes of life in small towns, mountain landscapes of incomparable beauty in the Aosta Valley or in other places, with different characteristics, or re-elaborates compositions, still lifes and other subjects.
