High glass black aluminum metal frame.
Louise Houde , a Canadian artist, created semi-abstract still life and landscape paintings distinguished by bold contour lines that intricately define form and occasionally, space.
Born in Quebec in 1946, she embarked on a journey to Scotland and France in 1961-1962 to study painting. Upon returning to Quebec in 1963, she joined the Quebec School of Fine Arts, where she had the privilege of studying under the tutelage of the renowned artist Albert Rousseau. Eager to refine her craft, she expanded her horizons with travels and studies in Japan in 1972 and returned to France for further exploration in 1975.
Her noteworthy contributions have been recognized in publications such as Magazin’ Art, the biennial guide to Canadian artists in galleries, in 2002-2003 and previous years. She was also featured in the Summer edition of Magazin’ Art in 2006, with an article on page 84 in the French version and page 131 in the English version. Additionally, her work was acknowledged in Le Collectionneur.
