Vintage Watercolor By Gustave Wander (1924-2017)

c. 1950-1960s watercolor on artist's board by New York, New Jersey & Florida artist Gustave Wander.
The work is in good condition with what looks to be some craquelure to the paint in a few spots, but this is oddly uniform, so it might have been one of Wander's techniques.
The only other issue is toning to the background -- you can see difference from where the mat was - and was not.

Signed Gustave Wander, this is similar to some he did of Fisherman's Wharf. That had no date either, but Wander only started painting after a 25+-year career as a commercial artist, illustrating lighting fixtures for marketing use and working in the photoengraving business, so most of his art is from the late '60s on. Wander died in 2017 at 93 years old.
