Original, signed photograph by archaeologist Giles Greville Healey (1901-1980 that he sent as a Christmas card one year.
It's in nice condition with only light creasing at an edge and corner, and a few small spots in the "Merry Christmas - Happy New Year" area. No wear to the photo itself.

SHORT BIO OF GILES GREVILLE HEALEY:
Healey was a celebrated Mayan archeologist best known for his photography in 1946 of the pre-Columbian painted murals at Bonampak. His wife was artist Sheila Healey, whom he married in 1943. She died in 2017 at 102 years old.
Healey produced the motion picture "Maya Through the Ages," based on footage from the 10 years he spent in Guatemala and the Yucatán Peninsula.
An expert stellar navigator and past president of the Institute of Navigation of Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, he taught navigation for the Navy during the Korean War. Equally proficient in optics and astronomy, he worked on the development of alloy metals, including beryllium, for the Space Program. He spoke seven languages, among them Lacandon, the Mayan dialect still spoken by the Lacandon people of Chiapas.
