Very nice drypoint/aquatint by Austro-Hungarian etcher, painter, printmaker and landscape artist Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962).
Entitled "New York from Governor's Island," the work itself is in very good condition with just light toning.
It is #97/100 and was signed by Kasimir himself on the lower right. **This is an important distinction as after his death in 1962, Kasimir's son and daughter-in-law reprinted some of his pieces and their versions of his signature look nothing like the original.
The work could use re-framing: there's a small chip on the edge of the glass ( middle right) and the frame has a break at the top (see close-up), though this could be fixed pretty easily.
Papers on the back from a former owner give some interesting history on Kasimir and the etching.
