Pair Francois Carre 'Sunburst' Cantilever Chairs

Pair of vintage Francois Carre cantilever patio chairs, c. 1930s. Solid steel structure in sunburst design, wonderful black finish in great condition. Both chairs have the signature sunburst/pinwheel design on the seats and backs.

Specifically these two are from Tillar House in Washington, D.C. (near Massachusetts Ave. and Embassy Row). The previous owner worked there and the Society determined that it needed more office space so the 4th floor solarium was converted to office space and the solarium's furnishings were sold to staff.
