Over the past three years, I have successfully won items at 280 individual Auction Ninja auctions in the Denver area. This is the first review I have felt compelled to write that is less than complimentary, and it truly pains me to do so. I have always been an optimist, striving to focus on the positive aspects of any situation throughout my 70 years of life.
Recently, I encountered a new listing service called Lucky Find. I appreciated their efforts in photographing and describing the items, and I found them to be very courteous when they called to request payment the morning after the sale. Pickup was scheduled for a few days later. However, about an hour before the scheduled pickup time, I received an urgent call from the propane company servicing my farmhouse north of Fort Collins regarding my newly installed underground tank. They expressed concerns about the potential for propane gas accumulating in the house. Naturally, I rushed to address the situation, and with the assistance of another plumbing company, we managed to vent the house and make the necessary repairs.
As I was returning to Denver, approximately 45 minutes away, I received a call from Brandon. He introduced himself and informed me that there were only 15 minutes left to pick up my items. I explained that I was en route but would not be able to arrive in time. Unfortunately, the conversation took an unfortunate turn when Brandon began discussing the contractual obligations I had entered into.
In the past, I have occasionally forgotten pickup dates or faced other circumstances that prevented me from collecting my items. I shared this with Brandon and, as I have done previously, requested that he leave the items on my front porch. He declined, citing concerns about theft. When I asked what my options were, he stated there was nothing I could do. I pointed out that whether he left the items on the porch or took them back, I would ultimately lose them. At least if they were left on the porch, I would have a chance to retrieve them.
Brandon has never met me and is unaware of my spending habits, which is unfortunate. Every other auction company I have worked with through Auction Ninja has been willing to hold items for me. While I understand that they all require acknowledgment that they will not move, store, or hold items indefinitely, I have never forfeited items when I had communicated with someone from the auction company before the deadline.
While I recognize that Brandon acted within the terms of the agreement, I believe that having a contract does not preclude him from offering alternative solutions. I am not suggesting that others avoid Lucky Find, as I am sure they have many satisfied customers. However, after waiting more than two weeks for a response and receiving none, I have decided that I will no longer bid on items listed by Lucky Find.
Please mark when an item reeks of smoke. I don't know if we will ever be able to wear the jacket and we paid a lot for it. Even the binoculars smell. Otherwise thanks for your offerings.
Needed it shipped and Brandon and the shipping crew were top notch!!! Thank You!!
as advertised. Note to seller please try avoid putting sticker on won auction items damages paint.
Chair was exactly as described on the website. When I arrived at the address to pick it up, I was greeted by Brandon who had the chair ready to go for me. Would definitely recommend them and I will keep an eye out for more of their Auctions online.
