Lot #3 of 125
Item Description

This lot includes two full sheets of historical 3¢ commemorative U.S. postage stamps. The first sheet honors the Wisconsin Centennial (1948) with bold violet imagery of the state outline and capitol building, celebrating Wisconsin’s statehood anniversary. The second sheet commemorates the Washington National Capital Sesquicentennial (1950), featuring the U.S. Capitol in a delicate lavender hue. These full sheets remain largely intact, preserving their perforations and historical significance. Please note that the Washington sheet has one stamp on the front middle top row with visible damage.

The Wisconsin Centennial issue marks 100 years since Wisconsin's admission to the Union, while the Washington National Capital Sesquicentennial stamps were issued to celebrate 150 years since Washington, D.C., became the U.S. capital. Both sets are iconic pieces of mid-20th-century American history, valued for their design and cultural context.

Ideal for philatelists, history enthusiasts, and collectors of Americana. These sheets are perfect for those interested in mid-century U.S. commemorative stamps or state and capital-focused memorabilia.

Both sheets are stored in protective sleeves and are in overall good condition. The Washington sheet has one damaged stamp (front middle top row). The Wisconsin Centennial sheet shows minimal aging on the gum backing. Please review the images closely and bid accordingly, as these items are sold as-is.

Add these two significant pieces of American postal history to your collection. Featuring iconic designs and historical value, these full sheets are perfect for serious collectors. Please note the condition details and bid with confidence, as all sales are final.
