This 1937 Buffalo Nickel is an iconic piece of American coinage, showcasing the Native American profile on the obverse and an American bison on the reverse. Designed by James Earle Fraser, this coin is a celebration of America's heritage and culture. Despite natural wear from circulation, the date and primary design elements are still visible, making this a great collectible item for history enthusiasts and numismatists.
The Buffalo Nickel, produced from 1913 to 1938, is considered one of the most beautiful coin designs in U.S. history. The Native American profile on the obverse is believed to be a composite of three Native American leaders, while the bison on the reverse was inspired by "Black Diamond," a bison housed in the Bronx Zoo during the early 20th century.
This coin is perfect for numismatists, collectors of vintage U.S. coinage, and history enthusiasts who appreciate unique and culturally significant designs.
This coin shows natural wear consistent with its age and circulation, but key design features and the date remain visible. Please examine the photos closely for further details on its condition.
The 1937 Buffalo Nickel is a classic piece of U.S. numismatic history, perfect for any collection of vintage or culturally significant coins. As part of an estate auction, all sales are final, and there is a no-return policy.
