Theo A. Koch made some of the best barber's chairs in the world in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This barber's chair dates to that period. It is in very good condition, and the hydraulics that raise and lower the chair still work. It is missing the head rest and has some damage to the steel on the footrest (see second and third pictures). The white enamel or porcelain coating is in good shape, and the current owner thinks the seat and backrest have been reupholstered. The chair is 41" tall to the top of the backrest while in the lowest position.
