Two French 18th century books. The first, titled "L'ane Promeneur, ou Crites Promene Par Son Ane….", Premier Edition, published in 1786 - front cover with break in leather where it meets spine, some use wear, pen and ink French writings on first few pages, overall good condition; the second, titled "Fables Nourvelles" published in Paris in 1748 - some staining on covers, but overall very good condition. Provenance: From the Thomas Rockwell collection. Tom was the son of the famous American illustrator, Norman Rockwell, and was a book collector and book seller residing in both Stockbridge Massachusetts, where he opened a book and print store with his brother Peter, and Lagrangeville NY.
