Ship model made mostly from cloves, probably Maluku Islands, 19th century. These boat models where popular with visitors traveling to Indonesian Islands during the 18th and 19th century. This is a 3 mast model with sailors on deck. One sail slightly loose from rope, another sail appears to be missing its top section of rope, but overall good condition. It is sealed within a Plexiglas case that needs cleaning. The ship approximately 22"W x 16"H and the total case measures 28"W x 8 1/4"D x 19 7/8"H.
