"Illuminated Illustrations Of Froissart" in 2 volumes, by H.N. Humphreys, Esq. Volume 1 published in London 1844 and noted as "Selected From The MS In The Bibliotheque Royale, Paris, and From Other Sources.". Volume 2 published in 1845 and noted as "Selected From The MS In The British Museum,". Both volumes with tooled leather covers with gilded highlights and pages with gilded borders. Volume 1 with slight wear to covers and staining bottom right corner of front cover and all pages, else it is in very good condition - volume 2 with worn spot on top right corner of front cover else very good condition. Each volume measures 7 1/2" x 10". Provenance: From the Thomas Rockwell collection. Tom was the son of the famous American illustrator, Norman Rockwell, and was a book collector and book seller residing in both Stockbridge Massachusetts, where he opened a book and print store with his brother Peter, and Lagrangeville NY.
