Francesco Bartolozzi, Royal Academy (Italian 1727 - 1815 R.A.) was an Italian engraver, whose most productive period was spent in London. A portfolio, Part IV, containing 25 autotype plates of his works in the British Museum, published in London 1885 - limited edition of 150 copies. This book is complete and all the plates are in very good condition - the title page with tears and some staining - the covers and spine with use wear. The book measures 15" x 20". Provenance: From the Thomas & Gail Rockwell collection, LaGrangeville NY. Tom is the son of the renowned American artist, Norman Rockwell and the author or many children's books. His late wife Gail, was an artist-illustrator and the daughter of Arthur E. Sudler and Janet Whitson Sudler, both early 20th century artists - she illustrated several of her husband's children's books.
