Autographed limited edition book titled "Secret History of Procopius", published in Chicago by Pascal Covici in 1927, edition 161/760, signed Richard Atwater who wrote the Introduction and Douglas C. McMurtrie responsible for typography and type design. The book is complete with 286 numbered pages. Some staining on covers, else good condition. Provenance: From the Thomas Rockwell collection. Tom was the son of the famous American illustrator, Norman Rockwell. He was a book collector and book seller residing in both Stockbridge Massachusetts and Lagrangeville NY. In Stockbridge, he opened a book and print store with his brother Peter.
