Prynne was a contentious and erudite Puritan attorney and legal antiquarian who wrote several books and pamphlets about legal history, religion and politics.". Provenance: From the Thomas Rockwell collection. Tom was the son of the famous American illustrator, Norman Rockwell, and was a book collector and book seller residing in both Stockbridge Massachusetts, where he opened a book and print store with his brother Peter, and Lagrangeville NY.
