The first, a pamphlet attached in the binding titled "Speech of Mr. Benton, of Missouri, Delivered in the Senate of the United States, on the Mission to Panama, March 1826;" published in Washington City 1826, first edition.". See photos for additional information. Use wear to covers and spine but interior speeches in good condition. Measures 6 1/4" x 9 1/4" x 2" thick. Provenance: From the Thomas Rockwell collection. Tom was the son of the famous American illustrator, Norman Rockwell, and was a book collector and book seller residing in both Stockbridge Massachusetts, where he opened a book and print store with his brother Peter, and Lagrangeville NY.
