For your consideration, we have 5 Limoges salad / dessert plates. All have a pink & yellow flower design green & grey leaves circling the plate, with a small flower in the center. Finishing off the plate is a gold trim.
One plate has a chip on the bottom near an edge. This chip doesn't show when looking at the plate from the top. Please review all the photos for more details. The mark on the back of each plate denotes 1894-1910 date of usage.
German born Charles Ahrenfeldt (1807-1894) began manufacturing porcelain in 1884. His company, succeeded by his son, Charles J Ahrenfeldt, ran it until 1917 when M. Grob assumed control of the company. When M. Grob passed in 1934, his widow became the manager and ran it until the company was purchased in 1958. The financial investors, that now owned the company, tried to downsize the company and ultimately failed in their investment attempt.
The company that Charles Ahrenfeldt began in 1894 ceased operations in 1969.
