Four Black Kartell Masters Chairs By Philippe Starck

Four Black "Masters" chairs designed by creative powerhouse Philippe Starck in 2010, quickly became a Modern Classic. Manufactured by Kartell, the polypropylene and nylon combination gives a satin feel to the finish. Starck’s “Masters” chairs are a great example of his creative genius: Intended as a tribute to the Modern "Masters" of Design, (or is it a pastiche? ) On the back of the Master's chair, hiding in plain sight , are three super-imposed silhouettes, re-worked by Stark: Arne Jacobsen’s “Series 7”, Eero Saarinen’s “Tulip Armchair” and Charles Eames’ “Eiffel Chair.” It's signature Starck: Versatile. Stackable. Sensible, with a touch of humor.
