Rare Seth Thomas Electromechanical Office Clock Which Runs By Battery (Not A Slave Clock!)
These clocks were all running in the home of the collector
Movement was operating with 2 d batteries setup for a couple years in the kitchen but has been in storage for 4 hrs. I expect is should still operate with new batteries.
This is an interesting clock which at first glance looks like a simple slave clock which has an impulse receiving movement where this is a self winding electromechanical timepiece that has a battery which give power for the movement to self wind every couple of minutes. Has a proper pendulum inside that swing to keep the second bit ticking along.
A nice extra is that the dial has an advertising aspect for the H. P. Stone Co. 650 Washington St. address and catchy slogan "C 3 Egg Men for Eggs"
The dials have a bit of flaking .. see pictures. A great clock for a breakfast place. EGGS...lol
Very good, but certainly not like brand new, Examine photos is best description
