1957 Custom Built Baby Grand Piano, Art Nouveau Style, Eggshell White, Appraisal Completed

The piano was gifted to the owner in 1957; she had it professionally painted to the art nouveau style. It is eggshell/ivory color with gold accents. It is believed it was classic black originally. It was transported from Houston to Loveland, Colorado in the late 1990's.
An official appraisal was completed in preparation for this sale. The exterior casing is in excellent condition. There are two serial numbers on the instrument, testifying to the custom build, so it does not have a single manufacturer. There are several cracks on the sound board, a few keys stick, and at least one key does not work. It is severely out of tune and needs to be voiced; therefore, it is not in playable condition at this time. It is unclear what the sound quality is until the keys have been repaired and it is brought back into tune. The move from a humid climate to Colorado is likely the cause for the sound board cracks. It could be a fine practice instrument; regardless, it is strikingly beautiful and a piece of American music and MMC furniture history.
It can be dismantled for transportation; it is currently on the second floor of the home. You will need to provide professional piano movers. We will arrange a unique appointment for you to pick up this gorgeous addition to your music room. The seat pictured is not included; we have the original piano bench and will add photos of it to this listing. We will also add a link to our social media page so you can hear the piano being played.
