From Bottesford, the Church of St Mary the Virigin in England.
It’s called The Codyington Brass, died in 1404, one of the finest of it’s kind in England, especially for the rich embroidery on the cape. He was a rector of Bottesford, and pre-bindary of Oxton and Crophill in the Collegiate Church of Southwell Nottingham. He’s wearing canonical or pre-bindary habit, long, gown-like curplice with large sleeves. The amice is the collar around the neck or fur tippet covering breast and shoulders. Hanging down in front in two pendant bands and overall a gorgeous cape, fastened with a large marse on which is shown the Trinity. It’s orphrey or borders are richly worked with deeply engraved figures of saints (Peter, Paul, John the Evangelist, Margaret, Catherine, etc)
