Gilbert Eight Day Thirty Hour Clock Beehive Cottage Clock

Antique 19th century cottage style beehive mantel shelf clock made around the 1870s. The case appears to be rosewood veneer with minor losses here and there. This clock was made by the Wm L Gilbert Clock Co of Winsted Connecticut. The original reverse painted glass has been repainted a gold along with door frame. This clock retains the original paper label inside on the back wall. The dial is metal with Roman numerals and has a time and strike movement. Comes with its original pendulum and key. The clock arbors cannot be wound - they are overwound and need to be released. I am sure adjustments need to be made. We don't believe this clock was ever tampered with.
