Early Pilgrim Century ladder back slant arm mushroom arm chair with acorn finials. Chair dates approximately 1700 to 1720. Sausage turned posts and bulbous turned finial. Concentric ring design on arms. Has a rush seat. Chair was refinished about 100 plus years ago. Structurally intact. No loss to the legs. Similar example in Wadsworth Atheneum. As per Furniture Treasury by Wallace Nutting. Back support post 49" tall x 24" wide from mushroom to mushroom on arms. Sits as 17".
