1816 ELABORATE VERSE AND PICTORIAL SAMPLER

Features Adam and Eve, stylized trees, house, birds, women sitting in chairs and an unusual continuous border on the outside edge depicting stylized trees and flowers. Highly desirable school girl sampler from the Mrs. Chapman/Lee Kent school. Framed in rosewood mitered frame with gilt inner liner. The sampler is 22" x 13 1/2". Overall with frame 24 3/4" x 16 1/2" Toning throughout, loss to the center of the verse and a few spots here and there. Otherwise, in very good condition.
