The initial page of auction indicated that pickup could be by appointment on Saturday without an explanation. Since I had to be in that area that day I bid and won the item. But when I called I was told they wouldn't be there. Pickup was only for 2 large items and those bidders did not arrange for that thus nobody would be there. They did agree to ship and said item would be double boxed (fragile and valuable), and I was told it would be double boxed. It was not double boxed (though it fortunately arrived safely. When I unwrapped, all the layers of bubblewrap were wet. Have never had that happen. The auction tag was attached to the top of the vase with wire which could have damaged the glazed surface of the antique vase. Fortunately it did not. And finally, the package did not have additional insurance so was only insured for 1/2 what I paid for it. For these reasons I would not choose to do business with this auction again.
