Don Troiani is an American painter whose work focuses on his native country's military heritage, mostly from the American Revolution, War of 1812 and American Civil War.
Description of print:
"The Diehards" by Don Troiani depicts the men of the Second Louisiana Brigade commanded by Col. Leroy A. Stafford fighting with stones in the deep cut. The brigade consisted of the 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, and 15th Louisiana Infantry Regiments. Beginning to run low on ammunition, Capt. Thos. Rice of Co. E, "Montgomery Guards," 1st Louisiana Infantry, recalling an incident at Sevastopol during his experience in the Crimea, quickly told his men, "Boys, do as we did at Sebastopol!" picking up a rock and throwing it at the Federals stuck on the other side of the embankment. Lt. Col. Michael Nolan of the 9th Louisiana shouted to his men to do the same. The idea caught on and eventually the whole line began to pick up rocks and hurl them over the embankment.

If not picked up then items are considered forfeited by the winning bidder and will not be compensated in any way.

We handle orders on a first come, first serve basis. To expedite service at pick up please TEXT (do not call) your name, invoice number and planned arrival time to the auction manager at least 30 minutes prior to arrival.

You are responsible for bringing your own packing, moving materials, appropriate vehicles, tie downs and man power.

WE DO NOT PACK OR MOVE. If you fail to bring help and are unable to remove your item during the scheduled pick up time, there will be a $100 restock/removal fee.
