The Great BOOK Of BRITAINS By James Opie-Special Numbered Edition

Produced to celebrate the centenary of Britains, the company which launched the first hollow-cast toy soldier sets in 1893. This book discusses production of the soldiers, and also includes extensive appendices, listing all Britains' non-military figures and giving a rarity rating. The inner page is inscribed, To My Husband on Our Wedding Day-September 9, 1995 With Love, Lesley. Book has 640 pages with 990 illustrations with over 950 in full color. The book is in excellent condition but the outer box is in poor condition. The lid has come apart from the base and one of the corners is split.
