1986 Resin Relief Sculpture By David Fisher For Austin Productions

This ethereal relief sculpture, which is rendered in a single plane of translucent resin and depicts a floating nude couple, is by artist David Fisher. The manner to treat the subject is very much inspired by the Art Deco period. This couple, portrayed on both sides of the piece, emerge from the front and are carved into the back. The piece, which can be lit from underneath for a gorgeous effect, is signed at the base "Fisher, Austin Prod inc. 1986. Measures 14" tall, 16" wide and is 3" deep. There is a small chip on the one corner of the base and could use a good cleaning but is otherwise in very good condition.
