Auctioned items are from the noted Taylor and Hayes families. Items of value include art by Chester Coleman Hayes, contemporary artists’ serigraphs & lithographs from the 1960s to 1980s. Furniture, china, and art belonging ...view moreto the family of Brigadier General Nelson Taylor. Many of the items in this auction date from the 1800-1900s. Items belonging to the Masters, Bruen, Hayes, Taylor, and Coleman families, prominent American families in the 1700-1900s. Also included are Italian works on paper and Kipness lithographs. All items are privately owned by the Hayes family. This is the second and final auction from this estate.

UPS shipping can cost ...view moremore that the purchase price of the item, so be sure to confer with UPS about its fees before bidding. Winning bidders are responsible to pack their items, bring the necessary packing material and/or boxes, provide the tools needed to disassemble and/or disconnect purchased items. We recommend either contracting a local moving company or bringing helpers to move heavy objects. Caution must be taken when you’re moving items from the house since this is someone’s home and we do not want damaged floors or walls.
Please refer to photos as part of the description. We try our best to list any damage, repairs or restorations, but please keep in mind that the absence of these descriptions or conditions does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Most of the items being offered for sale are either antique, vintage or simply used. You should expect signs of wear consistent with age and usage. Remember, all sales are final, there are no returns, credits or exchanges.
The scheduled pick-up date is Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If the scheduled pick-up date is not convenient, please call to reschedule an alternate date and time. Auction items that are not picked up by the buyer during the allotted time period will be considered as forfeited by said buyer, with no forthcoming refund.
Winning bidders will receive the actual home address for pick up by email. You are responsible to check your email to confirm that the email we send has been received. Remember to check your spam folder if you do not see our email.
Shipping of some small items is available through the UPS Store of Garden City, N.Y. at the buyer’s expense. We recommend first calling the UPS Store at (516) 741-6245 (Monday through Saturday after 11 a.m.) for a price quote. We will coordinate the pickup with the UPS Store so you can arrange for their packing and shipping services. UPS will contact us to arrange pickup of items from the home.
Instructions for Tax Exempt buyers: If you want a tax-exempt status, you must input your tax-exempt information and certificate. Before bidding, click the “Tax Exempt button” located directly under the “Upload Certificate Box” to receive the Tax-Exempt Status.
Please be aware that many times there are multiple photos for each lot.

The auction begins to CLOSE at 8 PM. Each auction lot will close 50 seconds apart which extends the auction ending for at least an hour and a half. If people are actively bidding on an item, then that item will extend an extra five minutes. Please keep that in mind as you plan to bid.
