Shanghai family. The older pieces were acquired in the late 1800s and early 1900s
and are surviving examples that were not destroyed by the Red Guard in the 1960s.
The later pieces (those with red seals) were authorized export items from the late
1970s (post Nixon era) which are just below museum quality of the day. Today’s
authorized export items are several steps below the pieces in this lot as all the finer
examples are already in private collections.

Most of the items being offered for sale are either antique, vintage or simply used. You should expect signs of wear consistent with age and usage. Remember, all sales are final, there are no returns, credits or exchanges.
The scheduled pickup date is Sunday, 5/13/2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If the scheduled pickup date is not convenient, please call to reschedule an alternate date and time. Auction items that are not picked up by the buyer during allotted time period will be considered as forfeited by said buyer, with no forthcoming refund.
Winning bidders will receive the actual home address for pickup by email. You are responsible to check your email to confirm that the email we send has been received. Remember to check your spam folder if you do not see our email.
Winning bidder responsibilities are outlined below:
Buyers are responsible to: pack their items, bring the necessary packing material and/or boxes, provide the tools needed to disassemble and/or disconnect purchased items, either contract a moving company or bring helpers to move heavy objects. Caution must be taken when you’re moving items from the house since this is someone’s home and we do not want damaged floors or walls.
Shipping of small items is available through UPS at the buyer’s expense. Email UPS in Manhasset at Store3217@TheUPSStore.com to arrange for their packing and shipping services. UPS will contact us to arrange pickup of items from the home.
Instructions for Tax Exempt buyers: If you want a tax-exempt status, you must input your tax-exempt information and certificate. Before bidding, click the “Tax Exempt button” located directly under the “Upload Certificate Box” to receive the Tax-Exempt Status.
Please be aware that many times there are multiple photos for each lot.

The auction begins to CLOSE at 9 PM. Each auction lot will close 50 seconds apart which extends the auction ending for at least an hour and a half. If people are actively bidding on an item, then that item will extend an extra five minutes. Please keep that in mind as you plan to bid.
