Original, framed USA Civil War announcement poster dated April 10, 1865. Provenance: Canandaigua, New York, owned by Louisa Coleman. Condition: excellent, age-related wear. Measures 13-1/2" long by 6-3/4" wide. Weighs 13-5/8 oz. Provided provenance: "Civil War handbill, Canandaigua, NY, April 10, 1865. Gilt framed. Excellent condition. On back: ‘A memento of the Rebellion, preserved by Louisa Coleman. Owned by Chester Coleman Hayes, her father, the noted artist. This handbill was in the family of Henrietta A. Hayes, the mother of the author Nelson Taylor Hayes, 1924."
