Item Description

Listed artist Chester Coleman Hayes oil painting on board titled "Grand Mere Roussel", painted when he lived in France. Chester painted 100-plus small oils during his travels on The Grand Tour, a trip that many wealthy people embarked on during the nineteenth century. He traveled through Europe, parts of Asia, and North Africa. Painting is inscribed in back, it measures 10-5/8"w by 10-3/4"h. Overall in very good antique condition.
