Item Description

19th century hand-painted coal scuttle, possibly French. Painted top depicts falconry hunting scene. Steel and ormolu components. Measures 23-1/2" tall, top width 17-7/8" across, base width 10-1/2" across. Condition: some metal corrosion and paint wear. Not recommended for shipping.
Provided provenance: Purchased in Montreal, Canada by Susan Coleman (nee Wilbur), the daughter of Augustus Graham Coleman.
